Where It All Began
My passion for baking began many years ago when I was a little girl. Watching my Mom dance around in the kitchen, carefree and baking. We had a small bookcase full of cookery books. One always caught my eye. The cake book.
It wasn’t long before I began to join in. The little helper I’m not so sure she wanted. Victoria Sponge, rock cakes & cupcakes were firm favourites in our house. My Dad especially loved sampling.
Baking isn’t just a passion of mine. It was part of my childhood and a big part of family time. Great memories.
The thought of starting my own bake business has crossed my mind many a time. October 2020 I decided to go for it - boy am I glad I did! From achieving our 5 star food hygiene rating to spending hours in the kitchen perfecting my recipes. It has not all been smooth sailing but I’m having so much fun.
Our Bake Boxes are regularly available to purchase via social media pages and we have recently ventured into pop up stalls and markets so you can visit us in person and take a look at our delicious range.
The feedback received since I began has been overwhelming and to be honest such a confidence boost. Here’s to the future of Laura’s Bakes.
